Who We Are

UnFnish3D Business is a small, independent shop selling handcrafted 3D-printed horror collectibles, operated by Don Hopkins and based in Portland, Oregon. Our website is located at unfnish3dbusiness.com.

What Information We Collect

We collect information in seven situations:

Back-in-stock notifications: If you sign up to be notified when a sold-out item returns, we collect your email address and the product you're interested in.
Coming-soon launch notifications: If you sign up to be notified when an unreleased product becomes available, we collect your email address and the product you expressed interest in. You must explicitly consent to being contacted before submitting this form.
Commission requests: If you submit a commission request through our "I Want One Made" form, we collect your name, email address, the product you're interested in, and any message you choose to include. You must explicitly consent to being contacted before submitting this form.
Forge Vision submissions: If you submit a custom commission idea through The Forge, we collect your email address, your written vision description, an optional product reference, and an optional budget range. You must explicitly consent to being contacted before submitting this form.
In-person preorders: If you place a preorder with a deposit at a convention or other event, we record your name, email address, the piece you ordered, painted or unpainted, the total price, your deposit, the balance due, how you paid (cash, card, Square, PayPal, Venmo or other) and a transaction or receipt number, and the event where you ordered. If you choose to give them, we also record your phone number and, for shipped orders, your shipping address. We may add private production notes (for example, color requests). You give us this information directly, in person.
Website preorder requests: If you request a preorder through our website, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, the item and finish you chose, whether you want shipping or pickup, your shipping address if you choose shipping, and any notes you add. You must agree before submitting. We use this information the same way as in-person preorders, described below.
Payment: Online purchases are completed on Etsy, which handles your payment information on its secure platform. For in-person purchases and preorders, you may pay us directly by cash, card, Square, PayPal or Venmo; we record only the payment method and a transaction or receipt number, never your full card details.

Apart from preorders, we do not collect your address, phone number, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above. We do not use cookies for tracking. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service.

How We Use Your Information

If you signed up for a back-in-stock notification, we will:

Send you a one-time email when that specific product becomes available again
Not add you to any mailing list or send you marketing emails
Not share your email with any third parties

If you signed up for a coming-soon launch notification, we will:

Send you a one-time email when that specific product launches and becomes available for purchase
Not add you to any mailing list or send you marketing emails
Not share your email with any third parties
Retain your email only until the product launches and the notification is sent, after which it is deleted

If you submitted a vision through The Forge, we will:

Use your email to contact you directly with options, timelines, and a quote for your custom piece
Not add you to any mailing list or send you unsolicited marketing emails
Not share your information with any third parties
Retain your submission only as long as necessary to respond to and resolve the inquiry

If you submitted a commission request for a sold-out item, we will:

Use your name and email to contact you directly about your commission inquiry
Not add you to any mailing list or send you unsolicited marketing emails
Not share your information with any third parties
Retain your request information only as long as necessary to fulfill or decline the commission inquiry

If you placed a preorder (in person or through a website request), we will:

Email you about your request and deposit, an order confirmation, an estimated completion date, and updates about your order's progress, pickup or shipping. These are transactional emails about your order, not marketing.
Use your phone number only to contact you about your order, if you gave it to us
Use your shipping address only to ship your order, and share it only with the shipping carrier (USPS) for delivery
Not add you to any mailing list or send you marketing emails
Not sell or share your information with anyone else

Payment Processing

Online orders are completed through Etsy. When you click "Buy on Etsy," you are taken to our Etsy listing in a new tab where you complete your order through Etsy's secure checkout. We do not receive, process, or store any payment card information. Etsy's privacy policy applies to any information you provide during checkout — you can review it at etsy.com/legal/privacy.

In-person purchases and preorders (deposits and remaining balances) may be paid by cash, card, Square, PayPal or Venmo. Card and app payments are processed by those companies under their own privacy policies. We keep only the payment method and a transaction or receipt number so we can match your payment to your order — never your full card number.

In some cases, a direct PayPal payment link may be offered as an optional alternative. If you choose to pay via PayPal directly, PayPal's privacy policy applies to that transaction — you can review it at paypal.com.

Data Storage & Security

Information collected through our website is stored in a secure MySQL database hosted on Hostinger servers located in the United States. Access to this database is restricted and password-protected. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted passwords and rate limiting on all public endpoints.

Back-in-stock notification emails are retained only until the product restocks and the notification is sent, after which they are deleted.

Coming-soon launch notification emails are retained only until the product becomes available and the launch notification is sent, after which they are deleted. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Commission request data — including your name, email, and message — is retained only as long as necessary to respond to and resolve your inquiry. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Forge Vision submission data — including your email, vision description, and any optional details — is retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Preorder records (including requests that never became orders) are kept while your order is open and for up to three years after it is completed, cancelled or refunded, for bookkeeping and tax purposes, and then deleted. If our internet connection drops at an event, a preorder may be saved temporarily on our own device until it can be uploaded, and is then removed from that device.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your email address from our notification list at any time
Request deletion of your commission request data at any time
Request deletion of your Forge Vision submission data at any time
Request a copy or correction of your preorder details at any time, and deletion once your order is finished (we may keep the minimum needed for tax records)
Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us — we will stop processing your data and delete it upon request

Our shop is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their email address, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
